RENFORCE launches its Data Collection Phase (WP1)
The RENFORCE project has entered a crucial implementation phase with the launch of WP1 data collection activities.
Four structured questionnaires have been circulated among all project partners to systematically gather information on forest management models, wildfire prevention practices, and windstorm risk mitigation strategies.
The aim of this activity is to ensure a shared and comparable knowledge framework across participating territories, forming the basis for the development of WP1 deliverables and outputs as defined in the Application Form.
The data will support:

the analysis of existing policies and governance frameworks;

the identification of transferable best practices;

the development of a joint strategy for the prevention of natural hazards in Mediterranean forest areas.
This phase represents a strategic milestone in strengthening transnational cooperation and integrating risk prevention into forest planning processes, contributing to increased ecosystem resilience and improved disaster risk management in the Mediterranean region.
